LETSI and SCORM 2.0

LETSI, Learning Education Training Systems Interoperability, the international, nonprofit federation dedicated to improving individual and organizational learning, has taken on the task of developing the next generation of SCORM, the Sharable Content Object Reference Model. As part of this initiative, LETSI is soliciting White Papers from all stakeholders interested in shaping the future direction of SCORM and the implementation of learning systems technology.

good blog. since i see the letsi post, i'll assume the blogowner is keeping this up....

i'd like to post a quetion re the imsmanifest file. i've always been of the opinion that all resources associated with the SCO package have to be listed in the resource section of the imsmanifest. and i do mean every file - graphics, media, css or other files - anything associated with that SCO.

the discussions we're having question the need for listing all the files in the resource section. and only listing the main files - the absolute minimum.

my question is - what would you be sacrificing by only listing minimal resource files in your imsmanifest file? would it pass the rte? (somehow i doubt that one)

any thoughts appreciated.....
